Hill Harper was born Francis Eugene Harper on May 17, 1966. His parents had their son in Iowa City and from the age of 7 they allowed him to test his talent for acting. Hill Harper graduated from Bella Vista High University in 1984 before graduating magna cum laude from Brown University in 1988. In 1992, he graduated cum laude from Harvard Commandment School.
