The new interview with television and stage star John Stamos just posted on Advocate.com is a really good one. The actor of the current Broadway revival of Bye Bye Birdie – his fourth Broadway show for anyone who just knows John from television.

Stamos, best established for his long television career that includes General Hospital, Full House, Jake in Progress and ER, talks with Brandon Voss about a wide variety of things including who his man crush is (hint: he’s got three names, is gay, and is a terrific awards show host).

I’ve interviewed John twice myself. The first time was for a cover story for Orange Coast Magazine (we are both natives of The OC) and the second time was at the premiere of the production Wedding Wars in which he played a homosexual man who becomes a marriage advocate much to the chagrin of his politician brother (played by Eric Dane!)

‘Doctor Odyssey’ Addresses the (Almost) Throuple in the Room

It was “Gay Week” on Doctor Odyssey, and the Ryan Murphy-produced series addressed the (almost) throuple in the room.

At the conclude of last week’s episode, the show’s core trio of Max (Joshua Jackson), Avery (Phillipa Soo) and Tristan (Sean Teale) decided to make their connection a little less platonic. After declaring that a threesome was on each of the character’s bucket lists, Avery tells her two potential suitors she’d be open to one, which forces Tristan into action. Max eventually joins the group, in a fade-to-black moment.

The first moments of this week’s episode — titled “Oh, Daddy!” — kicked off with Don Johnson’s Captain Robert guessing same-sex attracted lingo ahead of the ship’s “Gay Week,” telling the ship that his younger brother, guest actor John Stamos, will be aboard with his novel boyfriend.

John Stamos is one of the few actors in Hollywood who kept their characters in different films for many years after playing the first part. Latest News: John Stamos Discusses Struggle with Alcoholism in New Memoir

Actor and musician John Stamos promised to tell a “human story” in his modern book If You Would Have Told Me: A Memoir and stayed accurate to his word. In his tell-all memoir released October 24, the former Full House and General Hospital star candidly reflects on some of the darker moments from his life—including his past struggles with alcoholism and the 2015 DUI arrest that sparked his path to sobriety.

“I’ve seen the TMZ video and pictures from that night. It makes me sick to my stomach,” Stamos wrote of the incident, according to Today. “I could own killed a kid, wiped out a family or grandmother coming home from Bible study. I’m jeopardizing everything in my life: my career, reputation, and worst of all, the kid my parents raised, a guy I gentle of like.”

Stamos, 60, also writes about sexual violence he says he suffered when he was around 10 or 11 years old, as well as the unexpected death of his Full House co-star and longtime friend Bob Saget in 2022.
