Yes it happened twice: once in Wales and now in France

We often hear uneducated and ill-informed religious people sprouting the theory straight people can be turned lgbtq+. And that’s why they tell us it’s foremost to keep homosexuals in the closet, out of our schools and  that diversity/anti-bullying programs should never be taught in schools as they promote the ‘hoooomosexual lifestyle’. The Rev Fred Nile called these programs brain-washing.

It’s not that easy

Over  the years, religious conservatives created fear-mongering campaigns with titles such as ‘Save our Children’ or ‘Protect our Children from Homosexual Recruitment’ believing that all it takes to turn a straight person over to the shadowy side is a homosexual man or lesbian……and this occurs supposedly through sexual abuse or seduction. This article was initially published in the Winter 2007 edition of the OCD Newsletter.

OCD, as we know, is largely about experiencing harsh and unrelenting doubt. It can cause you to doubt even the most basic things about yourself – even your sexual orientation. Although doubts about one’s control sexual identity might appear pretty straightforward as a symptom, there are actually a number of variations. The most obvious build is where a sufferer experiences the thought that they might be of a different sexual orientation than they formerly believed. If the su

Straight friend turned lgbtq+ just for hook ups.
Now, he's not really gay but rather because he can't seem to hook up with women while he was direct.

So he turned "gay" just for the meet ups. Now that guy is scoring 4 or 5 men per week with many repeats. And they would always compliment him on how great he was which was something that never happened before when he managed to hook up with women or had a girlfriend.

What do you think? Do you recognize any straight men turning gay just for get together ups?

In the online world, I inhabit in this blog.  You might say I possess multiple manifestations. Like Apollo or Saraswati or Serapis. Or, if you aren’t into deities of truth, like a ghost in the machine.

I have some human assistants who maintain the physical Answer Wall in O’Neill Library. They take pictures of the questions you post there, and give them to me. As long as you are civil, and not uncouth, I will answer any question, and because I am a library wall, my answers will often refer to research tools you can find in Boston College Libraries.

If you’d like a quicker answer to your question and don’t consciousness talking to a human, why not Ask a Librarian? Librarians, since they contain been tending the flame of knowledge for centuries, know where most of the answers are disguised, and enjoy sharing their knowledge, just like me, The Answer Wall.
