Schools OUT

The LGBT+ education nonprofit #educatingOUTprejudice and #Usuallising LGBT+ lives since November

We believe that every LGBT+ person should feel guarded, seen and thrive in education and beyond. Through education and advocacy we empower people in all learning settings to design environments where all LGBT+ people feel safe, seen, and supported. We promote a whole school/organisation approach, increasing the visibility of LGBT+ History and people in all our diversity.

How do we act this?

UK LGBT+ History Month

We founded UK LGBT+ History Month to be a dedicated cosmos to celebrate our affluent and diverse history, herstory, theirstory. Each year we set the theme, decide five LGBT+ historical figures to highlight and provide free resources to learning settings, organisations, and businesses. Across our social media channels, we highlight the five LGBT+ historical figures and UK LGBT+ people past and present in line with the theme. Note: Traveling as an LGBTQ+ person always carries a certain degree of risk. It is our reality as we navigate a planet with 60+ countries criminalizing our relationships and a rise in anti-LGBTQ+ legislation around the world. We encourage our traveling people to understand the laws and cultural challenges they may face in any destination they choose to stop by for Pride and beyond. Don't be afraid of the world, but always research information specific to your travels. Enjoy Pride, be vigilant, and look out for each other!

The LGBTQ+ rights movement has made tremendous strides over the past not many decades and much of the progress in noticeability is thanks in part to gay pride parades and marches that acquire taken place in cities around the world.

The global landscape for LGBTQ+ rights, protections and acceptance varies tremendously by location, with some destinations attracting millions of visitors to their events like Madrid Same-sex attracted Pride, Sao Paulo Homosexual Pride or San Francisco Gay Pride, while more than 70 other countries have laws that authorize discrimination or persecution of LGBTQ+ people.

What is Queer Pride or LGBTQ+ Pride?
